Afternoon from Steptoe Butte Presentation:Matted Using the buildings in Commons

Using the buildings in Commons Park as a a foreground element to frame the skyline of Denver was my thought process for this image

however in late 2010 I was exploring Denver during a snowfall in the city

I headed to the back which allowed me to get close to the water

I tried a few concepts I was thinking about and just by playing with motion decided to use this in a few images

Afternoon from Steptoe Butte Presentation:Matted Using the buildings in CommonsSteptoe Butte State Park rises above the Palouse allowing a view for miles. With the late afternoon sun skimming the edges of the hills of the Palouse the changes in elevation start to become enhanced with the difference of the light and shadow. In the rolling green of the area, signs of canola can be seen growing in the distance with the bright yellow.
